Most of the dialogue in this game is delivered painfully, it legitimately makes me cringe every single time.
It's like the developers directly translated 12th grade storybook dialogue to a world. You can tell because the written in-game lore is so much better/more natural than the lines that are spoken, even though they share the same tone
one of the best gaming experiences ive ever had i think
also this moment in the DLC was so f***ing cool

Yeah, idk how so many bad writers find careers in entertainment. So much unnatural, awkward dialogue makes its way into major projects.
What ending
Accidentally did the suicide ending and that was f\*\*\*ing gut-wrenching, had to reload my save and ended up with V having 6 months left to live on Earth and Johnny disapproving of the choice :jordancry:

That ending is incredibly well done and one of the few times we see our V talking in third person. Was actually bummed
Then I reloaded and stormed the tower
imagine not going with Panam :jordanlaff:
Probably gonna try to get all of them now tbh, heard there's quite a few
What ending
the ending where V wakes up after 2 years and Johnny is mad at him during the ride there. Then Panam airs him
I was so upset
before that I did Panam ending as well
Amazing game and dlc

Dlc ending makes zero sense to me
Something about this playthrough is really clicking for me, I can’t wait to start Phantom Liberty
This is why the new ending is dogshit. And thats on the writers not on panam, they want to give u a bad ending no matter what
Coomers lost

Yeah I skip all the dialogue, I just read it
S*** is annoying lmao
I got so OP by the time I decided to go on with the main quests I’m just like 3-4 shotting the bosses

movies and games take years of development and usually writing is the earliest thing worked on in production. usually it starts before the production even starts. that alone makes it hard to keep things consistently current.
then u get good writers who are pushed out of a production because of creative differences. the person who wrote the original script or idea of the media might have a valuable idea but lack the writing skills to flesh it out. usually the scripts that NEED to be challenged often don’t, because some producer / lead writer aren’t willing to kill their darlings.
it really takes a talented team of writers with no ego and trust in each other to make a great piece of media.
