Been on forums and comment sections and social media since before my balls dropped, back when W. Bush was president
And I'm still at it, if in a different way than when I was a kid
I guess latently I've always assumed at some point I would stop "being online" but I look around and see plenty of Old people (born before 1980) who didnt even grow up with broadband internet posting away
Am I (and presumably my generational cohort) really gonna be plugging away online for the rest of my life, absent some sort of apocalyptic EMP or AGI paperclip maximizer snafu?
Tbh I accept it. I was born to post
Way I see it: there’s a whole lotta posts not enough posters these days. You can be the post or the poster
Rt if you’re one of the last real posters left
I feel like everyone on here should have an age where they stop using forums, snapchat, instagram, twitter etc. Even if it's a different age for each one.

It’s not hurting anyone no reason to think so hard about it
internet definitely hurts some people lol

It depends how long you on it. How many people on here have a wife/spouse and kids? maybe 1% at best?

That’s a pretty broad statement

He's right, there's been more and more studies coming out by day that show the bad effects of being chronically online.

there are different internet spaces that you filter up through as you get older I think
If someone's 30 and on snapchat still they're clearly doing something doing wrong, but I think Twitter is probably fine for most ages. it's moreso balancing it with your IRL obligations as you get older, which is ofc true of anything. There are some dudes with wife and kids who I'm like "wow bro you sure post a lot," but I mean we all have a certain amount of free time and I clearly am not in a position to judge
because the internet is so relatively young there's not really a playbook yet for aging gracefully "online" I think. but it's possible

i mean im a poster, imma post about it
