Good answer, the next response you would’ve got is a post with bullet points to the dome.

All good g, just wanted to make sure
Nobody wanna talk about sales when it comes to Kendrick because the music is high quality
If we’re going to go this route tho, DAMN. was the highest selling hip hop album of 2017 and GKMC is the longest charting rap album.
Man releases an album every 3 years and goes ghost in between. Inflated numbers because people don’t have anything else to listen to.
While Drake on the other hand…nevermind he not even worth the time bringing up you know what it is.
Too young to appreciate paper trail tbh
Besides that one song with Mia that s*** was hot
*makes 0 sense to YOU
yeah the "NATION." fanbase will find meaning in anything kendrick does, so i agree it would make sense for a lot of yall
you are like the essay youtubers of the rap community, but its still all love
In hindsight, DAMN is definitely a classic but it's not a strong undisputed classic.
It's not in the same classic tier as MBDTF, Illmatic, Blueprint, GRODT, TPAB, AEOM, etc.
Actually, DAMN is Kendrick's Stankonia. They even have the same Metacritic scores. DAMN, like Stankonia, marked the era where Kendrick trascended rap and became a true superstar, was experimental and modern with his music, and has strong lead singles that almost overshadow the rest of the album.
Stankonia is also a classic album but, in retrospect, it's not a top tier classic like Kast's previous two albums despite the latter having higher reviews and more impact.
Either way, I can't wait for Kendrick's 4th album.

Are you an idiot or just illiterate? How don't you understand what it is saying?

I am, I don’t have any urge to listen to it besides the singles (56 Bars, I’m Illy are execptions). King is a way better album. It’s not even I’m Serious, can’t match Trap Muzik or Urban Legend (his best one).

Cause Tune dominated that year with an iron fist lol.
But Paper Trail was TI's commercial peak where he became a superstar on par with Wayne and Kanye for a brief moment.
The album was loaded with crossover singles that dominated rap and pop radio alike like Live Your Life, Swagga Like Us, Dead and Gone, Whatever You Like, etc. It also had a diss for Shawty Lo called "What's Up, What's Haapnin" and the beef was kinda big for a hot moment.
Basically, TI was just as big as the other rappers on Swagga Like Us for that brief 08-09 period but his buzz died down like crazy when he went to jail and No Mercy came out. He was more so in that Jeezy/Ross/Game tier after that.
Album is not paper trail
But it is average to good in my opinion.
Humble is mid trash
And always was.
It’s the Hi my name is of the decade
Hi my name is sit down be humble
Eminemesqe level badly aging song

Bad take. I'm not a Humble fan but the song was a banger that used to get played in whips and parties all the time in 2017.
It's def one of Kendrick's lower quality songs but it was meant to be a crossover club song so it did what it was supposed to do.
