relistened to that hoe after a while....that s*** aged very well and is a pretty 10/10. just an appreciation thread tbh. when it first came out I really liked it but found it a lil borderline preachy but now after relistening I don't find it to be preachy at all. It's moreso just exploring some pretty intense themes that he's been going thru and just tying together.
im curious aF tho...what would ya'll rate this hoe if he dropped it after GKMC? meaning this came out before TPAB
Wassup wit this DAMN being a perfect or classic album on this website?
8/10 project btw that made a conscious nigga a superstar
i won't disagree w ya'll 8/10s...that s*** still a 10/10 to me but anything can be made better and more perfect.
10/10 is flawless. You really believe it's perfect in every way? Can't agree with that tbh only if you're a super stan
TPAB for reference is a 9.5 to me due to King Kunta & D*** Free, & its his best imo
great album
9/10 personally
second verse on FEAR always gets me emotional af
i'll prolly die anonymous i'll prolly die with promises
8 bc a lot of the verses are amazing but the way the themes come together is overly convoluted compared to GKMC or TPAB, that may just be me tho. The songs themselves are almost all pretty great
wish humble could grow on me s*** feels like the most annoying song ever at times
9/10 for me
Inbetween GKMC at an 8 and TPAB at a 10, wouldnt argue against an 8 for DAMN. Though
TPAB for reference is a 9.5 to me due to King Kunta & D*** Free, & its his best imo
King Kunta is amazing
King Kunta is amazing
Not imo, & its sound is off from the rest of it to me too (although lyric wise it fits).
I never liked it since it debut, & kendrick is top 5 for me & #1 of the 2010s, been listening since KLEP.
I respect the message n inspo of kk tho.
GOD.'s existence and the annoying ass intro and outro to DUCKWORTH. make this untrue imo
