They are gonna need great allocation of resources, time management, and budget to do this series justice. The stuff in the manga is ridiculous for a weekly manga
After todays ep I’m actually concerned for later seasons cus they cut a lot of corners and it’s only tip of the iceberg
Hope they finish the season strong and sell very well in Japan to get big budget going forward.

What corners did you feel like the most recent episode cut?

I would just say that so far they’re leaning on still frame money shots rather than fluidly animating key moments
It’s not a big deal but would be nice to see one of Okaruns finishing blows in full glorious animation
But this episode as a whole was definitely lower quality and reused a lot of frames and tried to give breathing room on shots that aren’t as busy. Could’ve been budget saving, artistic choice, being careful with the build up to the final scene. Won’t know til we see more eps
There’s still moments where it was amazing tho like when momokarun clear up the misunderstanding
First few eps were amazing. I’m just traumatized by what mappa did to JJK season 2 tho maybe I’m off my rocker

Ngl though, audiences who watch anime on a regular basis should know better and not chastise the output too harshly considering how overworked studio artists are in order to get episodes finished (JJK animators have tweeted some disheartening stuff).

Yea I know it sucks cus they’re really working them like dogs out there but it also sucks for us cus this manga has such high quality art I wish they would do it full justice
Idk how there isn’t some weeb billionaire out there just personally dropping million dollar bags to properly fund seasons of anime. I’d be on that type of timing

Dec 8, 2024This show actually sick, I gotta take my L on dandadan. I was reading the manga when it first started in WSJ but dropped it bc while the art was good I found the characters shrill and didn’t make it past the crab chase. Jokes on me that’s when the s*** actually gets good.
My homies were singing the praises and I finally tapped back in. Might need to pick the manga back up.
