dr poptarthe leaked a version of his album XXXX on Instagram a few weeks ago and honestly, it sounds like it could be his best yet. and I’ve been a huge fan of his since XXX, I’m not being hyperbolic. That Celibate song was so raw. I like that he’s using his normal voice a lot, it makes the album feel genuinely sad. I can see what he meant by this is a winter album. I hope this music is the same thing he will release. I like the low tempo heavy percussion vibe this thing has.
Also whoever that was on that Celibate song started off sounding odd and then he just went the f*** off

true true but quite simply longer albums are much more likely to have been influenced by the label's or even the artist's own desire to act in accordance with the economic incentive to pack on filler
i mean, if u gonna put filler into an album, why stop at 11 tracks?
