Bought dark souls, never played it before. I only played Elden Ring, so I am excited to go back and experience the og

One of the GOAT games. Going to feel a little antiquated behind ER but that s*** blew everyone’s mind when it dropped

Yeah I can see how wild this game was back in 2011. It feels a little slow and clunky, but its not bad at all. Im having a blast Its cool to see how much of the framework for ER was established in this game. Love how interconnected the map feels. I do miss having a map in-game and teleportation tho.
Just finished Blighttown which was annoying af Hopefully I dont have to go back down there.

Those f***ing mosquitos man ridiculous
I have PS4 pro and Switch
Which platform version should I buy
Ds1 i mean
PS4 for sure
Explain this horrid opinion brother
majula is the goat hub world, the environments were downright beautiful at times, an easier to follow and more enjoyable story, great bosses (other than royal rat authority), combat feels better, a great variety of locations (even if they don't all make sense) and i just overall enjoyed the atmosphere more in ds2
anor londo and ornstein and smough in ds1 were great but the rest of the bosses and locations didn't compare to ds2 imo. ds1 also had quite a number of gimmick bosses that didn't feel very satisfying to defeat. the interconnected map is really cool but i did find it pretty tedious after a while to have to backtrack through so many previous locations, even with shortcuts and the fast travel system through bonfires wasn't as fleshed out as it is in future games

Mfers hate to hear the truth, been a DS2 defender since release. DS2 was an upgrade in so so so many ways despite losing the insane map verticality/connectedness from DS1.
Scholar of the first sin is a f***ing disgrace tho

Understandable
Great bosses
Easier to follow storyline
i do like Majula though, even if it does feel like i'm on vacation in Italy or something. DS3 Firelink is still my favorite hub in any From game.
four kings down I feel like the areas in this game are harder than the bosses themselves. Those ghosts and assassins were getting on my nerves And the runback to the boss
Finally beat this I didnt enjoy the areas for the late game, long runbacks and annoying enviroment/enemies. Legendary game regardless tho, I see why people rate it so highly.

Yeah the game peaks at Anor Londo. Everything up to that point is

True, it was really fun to explore and find all these roads lead back to Fire Link. Really impressed with what they did with the map on this game.
Excited to try DS3 next

Yeah everything after anor londo was rushed. Lost izalith was almost completely lost due to the rush job and it definitely shows, place is ass. Concept of it goes stupid hard though love the idea.

Majula
Spent so much time just standing there

Word? That makes sense. Yeah great concept just poor execution. They did the lava theme right with Mt Gelmir/Volcano Manor tho
Beat those hoes Ornstein and Smough once again. They not necessarily hard they just stick to each other's a****** the whole time making it hard to get it. Had no viles and almost no more health
fast travel
damn is this just a random screenshot or you doing another playthrough?

they really are some hoes lmao
can’t attack one twice without the other one aiming an attack at you
those AOE attacks were cancerous first time
The Roundtable had the potential to be the best. I just wish early there were more.
It is wonderful, melancholical and depressing how by the end the entire roundtable is basically empty exept for demented Hewg and Roderika as essentially last woman standing just watching over him. Gorgeous ending to this place.
And I cant lie the first time being there talking to Gideon it felt so exciting. I imagined seeing nee faces everytime I return wondering what adventures and stories they would bring. Down the stairs below it looked like there was gonna be more rooms to discover. But it ended up being empty very quick since most npcs just make a very quick stop there if at all. And there is essentially only 2-3 stories actually in that place
