Yeah b****, that's right!
"Gasoline" will be the 2nd song discussed in our new series where we will be discussing each individual song off of Abel's new, highly anticipated project, Dawn FM!
Still seems surreal we are able to discuss Abel's new album, but here we are!
Here is a template to use to help discuss a song, though it is not necessarily required. Feel free to discuss it however you would like.
GOOD QUESTIONS TO ANSWER:
• Rating out of 10
• Favourite line or quote
• Thoughts on production**
• Overall ranking in album
• Experiences or thoughts while listening to this song**
**PS. on this part, if you want, before answering consider googling "Weeknd Dawn FM Instrumental", cause this album has dedicated a lot of attention to the production part, and with the official song, the vocals obviously steal most of the listener's attention
Let me know what sort of other things I can include in these daily song discussions to make them better.

Alright so after the intro comes the album opener!
And boy does it pack a hell of a punch!

• "It's 5 AM, I'm nihilist, I know therе's nothing after this, Obsessing over aftermaths Apocalypse and hopelessness"
• Love the production, there is a lot of intricate sounds in the background that you can miss if you're not paying attention.
• Top 3
• Overall a very controversial song from Abel, did not expect the low register, but it works well. Would love to hear more!

•"I want you cause we're both insane"
• Thoughts on production: didn't think too much of it, but it's keeping up with the album's vibe.
• Overall ranking in album: 9
• Experiences or thoughts while listening to this song: Very surprised with the weeknd's voice on the beginning, definitely not my favorite song, but it's not a bad song.

Top 2 on the album
Read in the pitchfork review he used a “British accent” on the low parts, I don’t think it’s quite that intense but definitely reminiscent of British 80s songs which is such a new sound from him. Ik some people don’t fw it but I loved that s*** lol.
“It’s 5am I’m high again and you can tell that I’m, in, pain” is the angsty Weeknd platitude we all fell in love with him for in the first place. Probably the most moody and brutal song on the album
Easy 10/10
“I’m dozing off to R.E.M I’m trying not to LOSE MY FAITH!”
There’s something so euphoric about that hook and the way Abels voice intertwines with the production it almost puts me in a trance as soon as it hits.
Hearing his lower register like that on the livestream had me going crazy, loved this song from the jump.
I think it set the tone of the album perfectly, from production to the lyrics to the way Abel used his voice.
Top 5 on the album for me
