I honestly do hold rappers to these standards i really dont like blatant rap cap

But for me its less about him lying bc I don’t even necessarily think Drake is lying about having a friend who will shoot someone in broad daylight, I just am confused on why Drake is proud of it or glorifying it. I don’t think he woulda ever made a song like that Views era or before, like he would always reference violence from a nuanced stance of its something that happens but its not what he wants. His energy on Daylight was just off putting to me, and yes I hold different rappers to different standards but if Durk made that song it’d be whatever but Durk is in prison and will be for a very long time, I just don’t get why Drake made a song like that. It’s just didn’t seem necessary to me at all
