He’s a caped crusader - a detective.
He was never a superhero the entire Batman comics has nothing to do with him being a superhero but more a vigilante with noir style detective storytelling.

Comics have a history in making alternate versions of a hero. It’s not far fetched to believe Lucius Fox (who Batman owes a lot to) would have a son that would take the mantle.

I just really value creativity. I wish something new or exciting got created. Can’t quite understand the man who decides to make the 50th batman instead of something new.

The point is, a lot of alternative versions of these characters are to explore a “what if”, they don’t want to make changes to iconic characters or storylines but rather to show us how things would be
