Loved this, it’s not a perfect at all but man I enjoyed it. The family dynamic, Xolo and the humor landed for me. Can’t remember the last genuine laughs I had in cape s*** besides maybe spiderverse.

The plot and writing are super by the numbers but one thing that set it apart for me in comparison to your average MCU movie was again the care/ heart of those involved shines through in almost every scene also how lowkey raunchy it is lmao

Nothing groundbreaking, if you like superhero stuff or are looking for a light one time watch flick, then you'll enjoy it.

I really wanted to like this with it being the first Latino superhero and I know it has his fans so I’ll just say it wasn’t for me.

Actually had to look up and make sure a Latino wrote this (it is) because at times it felt like a white person writing Latinos. It has that Shazam humor and I didn’t like Shazam either. I could go on with what I disliked but don’t want to be too negative.

Xolo was cool. Im good with whether he’s brought back or not.
