I'm used to it. I stopped crying after like 10+ friends and fam when I was 13 or 14. I went to a family member's crib for the summer ready to link up with my boy like I had for past summers all excited, and he had gotten shot at the park we played at. I got there just in time to put on my funky ass suit once again and watch a box get put in the ground. I realized that they're the lucky ones, even if all that's next is an eternal nothingness. I sometimes think being left here is maybe a punishment for something done previously that I can't remember.

Been too a lot of funerals sadly.

Had to miss a few in the last few years due to covid.

    Natural causes, suicide & homicide.

Had a few pet deaths too but thankfully all natural.

Seeing those who you love die certainly makes you appreciate life.

    At least for me.

I came to terms with own mortality at kind of a young age due to having found myself in a couple of situations where I didn’t really have any choice but to accept that I might die.

Honestly, death itself doesn’t scare me, more what leads to it. I’m more terrified of developing a debilitating illness/condition than death itself.

    Cant pick

My dad died but I was a kid and I didn't see it don't remember how I reacted

My mom died on our living room floor

It's disturbing watching someone die especially if it's not like in their sleep or something like you watch them fight to try to stay there then they just stop and are gone forever

Damn blah sorry you had to witness that
