I'm in the market for a new laptop and i've basically decided between these two. For context i've been using a 2012 MBA and it's been great but i'm kind of tired of Apple and want to try something new.

That new XPS be looking kinda hot too.

The XPS is going to cost me 1700$ CAD with an i5, 8GB RAM and 25GB Storage

MBA is 1500$ CAD as well but with 16GB of RAM.

What do y'all think? Anyone owned an XPS before? Are Windows laptops still ass? I want something that'll last me 5 years.

What do you plan on doing with the laptop

Youtube, Netflix, writing a few documents. No longer a student so it's pretty much for media.

MacBook Air

MBA feels like the safer bet. The bezels on the XPS are mad thin though and make the MBA look ancient. I have both in checkout right now trying this figure this out.

my xps has had multiple hardware issues, same with my friend with the same laptop

i3 with 8GB of ram is 1300$ (using my brothers student discount)

i5 with 16gb of ram is 1700$

If you’re looking to go into video editing, photography, high function use then either get the 2019 MBP & spec it to your liking or wait until the rumoured 2020 MBP drops next month
