I don’t watch Demon Slayer for some complex plot that forces me to evaluate the world like AoT does.

I watch it for great animation, great characters, great story and because it’s just feel good television, it’s chicken soup for the soul in animated form.

Inosuke shifting his heart isn’t really plot armor.

We’ve had two straight seasons of him twisting and contorting and dislocating his body in all sorts of ways.

It’s not that big an asspull.

I think the thing is a lot of people view shonen type anime as all operating the same way, so they view it the same way (I do it myself sometimes)

But DS isn’t trying to be AoT and AoT isn’t trying to be Code Geass (explicitly). You do need suspension of belief for some series that you wouldn’t need for others. Jojo’s would be f***ing HATED if everyone went over that with a fine tooth comb

I totally get being over certain anime tropes.

I tried getting into Jujutsu Kaisen and I can clearly see it’s a great anime but I am so over supernatural hero high school stories.

Only so many black high school uniforms I can see before I need more.
