Oh it’s fire dawg. I was sayin earlier they got 1 like an hour from me that’s in 70 mm. I think it might be the last one in SoCal if I’m not mistaken. Saw No Time To Die there and it was wild

Dune wasnt shot on film, so you wont find any 70mm screenings. IMAX with laser is the best regarding image QUALITY. Newer LieMax theaters usually have Laser.

The problem compared to "real" IMAX is the screen size and format, because LieMax is usually just a multiplex that transformed one of their auditoriums into an Imax. In that process the projector and sound system gets better, seats more comfortable and the screen maybe a bit larger plus 1.90:1 format.

Real IMAX usually is build in its own building, so there's a lot more space for gigantic screens and 1.43:1 format.

For DUNE I would prefer LIEMAX over Dolby Cinema (unless its a really s***ty LieMax with old sound and projector tech). You still get more Image (1.90:1) than in a Dolby Cinema and for DUNE this is really worth it since it has so many landscape and large scale shots.
