This story as a tv show wouldn’t be bad bro . Y’all got this huge thing about “ only theaters “ while theaters vary in quality lol . Like yes visuals and sound matter but dune is a huge story . The cut scenes from this movie alone look like a complete chunk missing . Imagine part 2 cut scenes
I completely agree, but the question was if Denis would do it. I just think with everything Denis has told us about the movie, the elements he likes and the reasons he thinks it’s so good, so much of that would be lost in a TV series. Of course, other areas could be greatly improved - but that’s not DV’s calling.

I understand loving this movie to pieces but if you can’t admit the first hour was exposition heavy I don’t know what to tell you
I had to ask because I realized some s*** this week. I kept giving students more time to work on their projects but the more time I gave them they still wouldn't finish. They'd find new ways to delay. Which made me think of Zack Snyder lol.
I feel like Zack goofy ahh could benefit from a series but knowing him itd just be longer versions of the exact same product with the same flaws and story.
So I had to wonder would they do a series but also could they?

TV is a really weird format in general, it has so much potential but still lags behind films a lot. The best directors and best actors etc. all seem to be drawn to cinema, and I guess it stems from that’s where the money is, and so has always led.

Breaking bad week by week evoked much more emotion than many of these films for fraction of budget . Breaking bad marathoned not as good . Sometimes movie stories are too grand to cram

Season 4 week by week went harder as well as season 5 still good of course but weeks of engaging art together with others versus people seeing dune at different times leads to different levels of discussion
