And how does that take away from what I said? Dude is basically saying the movie is worth checking because it got green lit for a part 2. IMO that’s not a valid reason when s***ty movies get green lit all the time.

Based off your response he could of just said “dude it’s DUNE so it’s worth checking regardless” which is true.

Yeah you’re spot on. Also RT is just an aggregator, it’s not “deciding” anything on its own it’s just an average of what all professional critics are saying. There’s some critics whose viewpoints I really enjoy and those are the ones I usually come back to.

The discussion was about you not caring about Dune getting some bad reviews and people being weary of seeing it. And your response is “as long as it’s good enough to get green lit for a part 2 why would I care”

Idk s*** about the Dune universe, but they aren’t on earth are they? So the skin of the people from earth that migrated there shouldn’t have anything to do with the climate on a foreign planet. So I don’t think this is really valid tbh, correct me if I’m wrong tho.
