I haven’t read the books. Without spoiling, is it possible to describe why it’s be impossible? Is it because it get psychedelic? (Thats what I’ve heard)

Keeping it vague as possible: Everything just gets weird and like increasingly sexual? Heretics in particular, idk what Herbert was on.

Even if the studio somehow greenlit the entire series to be adapted, you’d have to cut significant chunks out of it to make it palatable for a mass audience and at that point, what is the point?

Denis mentioned that he’s hoping to make 3 Dune films, I don’t think we’ll get more than that

God Emperor of Dune got the wildest sexual scene in the series

Rewatched part 1 the other day, and man I really like how the movie handled the Jamis plot. I honestly think I like it better than the book. If you really examine all the Jamis scenes, and really understand that through Paul’s prescience, Jamis is the friend that has taught him the ways of the desert. So Paul’s tears is the tears of him mourning a mentor and a friend. That being his first body too. Idk I just thought it was well written and shot brilliantly, I’ve just been thinking about it a lot, replaying it in my head.

I still like how it went down in the book, but I think the movie has a greater emotional weight to it, but I do like how the book handles the aftermath though. Hopefully they expound on it a lil bit in part 2

What’s the runtime on this? Feel like this needs to be a 3 hour epic
