These dudes just get paid to do nothing I swear to god
Nice dude you have a lot of time to pivot what you want to do
Just join a bunch of design related clubs and put in on your resume and make a portfolio and you should be good
Or do hackathons and join as a ux designer
Or just make your own projects in the meantime. Problem is it's kind of weird to put projects on ur resume.
Also interns.design is a super nice website to find internships

Yo dude you are a lifesaver for that last site link, I’ve been looking forever for something like that, felt like so many internships were unpaid, it’s so frustrating

Yeah I use that website and googles job indexer.
Honestly I don't see many unpaid jobs unless it's a startup and ur on angellist
Just put the design buddies discord in the main post. Check it out.
such a good resource
just got hired on a retainer doing digital only graphic design for a real estate firm
the brokers are all under 30 years old and award winning in my region
been doing graphic design and web/app design professionally for the last 5-6 years
not big into coding outside of JS, HTML and CSS, i know some JS frameworks too but that's it really
before that i started a local business graphic design/video production studio which i still operate on the side

This is a pretty cool site that interviews designers:
loversmagazine.com
I have a lot of resources to share on this front, but don't really know where to begin.
Decent site for an intro to everything: degreeless.design

cool, definitely some great stuff in here
especially love the lawsofux.com within the degreelessdesign website one cause they link articles
but at the same time i feel like design is so aestheticized and all the articles and s*** just talk about effectively nothing

Yeah, I get there. Too much focus on design trends than the overall process imo. Would be interested in seeing how people work

You got any favorite design agencies or anything like that
You work in the industry?

Yeah, agreed.
Not really, I just follow some cool designers.
Examples:
brianlovin.com
nelson.co
rsms.me
I don't work in the industry, but interested in getting into it possibly
Thread reminded me that I need to finish the app I'm working on now
For anyone interested and if you have the money and time, there are a few bootcamps/immersions out there you can enroll into to get an in-depth look at the field and what the job entails.
