Once again, Frozen Moments (Drakes company) retains the full rights and masters to his POST-SCORPION music. Nothing in the documents you posted says otherwise.

Incorrect. The vinyl for $$$4U didn't release until May 2025.

    Oh please

Yeah the big bad labels forced those three to do vinyl with Target, I’m sure all of them had absolutely zero say in that decision whatsoever!

    You thought you did something

Where an album is sold at is label s***. One of the benefits of signing is not worrying about distribution.

Jay Z is his own label and he chose to partner with Target for this release.

    Excuses excuses

I'm sure Drake, Kendrick, and Cole all have absolutely no idea that their albums are being sold in Target right now. Those poor 40-year-old men!

People who are just out of touch and out of the loop thinking that Jay Z is the first black artist in recent years to collaborate with Target

Nobody is turning down the promo and sales that come from Target marketing

Adele sold 1.8M strictly via Target on one of her projects. these people operate businesses, it’s obvious they don’t care about the politics across genres and A-list musicians

Also, the notion that artists as big as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole have absolutely zero say in where their music gets sold is a completely ridiculous idea

Jay Z has aligned himself with black social causes many times. If the black community is boycotting Target then this outrage is expected.

Target marketing? It's Reasonable Doubt lmfao how many copies do you think he's going to sell?

Jay-Z is a businessman and a grifter. he will move with the money before he moves with his people. you are stating things we already know about the man…okay now what? lmfao what that gotta do with what you’re saying about other artists not being able to also disallow their target exclusives?

If it were obvious this thread wouldn't be at 27 pages. Jay partnered with Target for this release. From my understanding, neither Kenny Cole or Drake has partnered with Target recently.

  • 1st Post: “He owns Roc Nation so he chose to work with Target, those other artists didn’t have a choice!”

2nd Post: “He aligned himself with black social causes and is now working with a company that the black community is boycotting. The album won’t even sell in Target!”

Literally all three of them have

  • Acting like the Big 3 are new artists who just dropped their debut album and get told what to do by the label

If those three didn’t want their albums sold in Target, they wouldn’t be sold in Target

Cole, Drake, and Kendrick all partnered with Target on their last projects man. Your profile picture sold 50 variants. lol, it’s a losing battle because they are all…capitalists (derogatory)
