I found the story boring and it didn’t help that it was a prequel so I already knew the end. I spent most of my time just hunting and fishing and doing side quest. I put like 30 hrs into it and only got to the point where you became a cop to rob that family of their treasure and pit the two family against each other.

It's part fan service, part demonstration of graphic technology. The gameplay took a backseat

Red Dead Online is a f***ing buggy empty mess with no content and a clear cash microtransaction system. This is coming from someone who already maxed out the Outlaw battle pass (got free gold bars from preorderig) and ranked up all the roles except moonshiner. So I'm close to "endgame" in RDO and it's painfully obvious there's nothing left, even GTAO this early in its life had way more potential and now we know it had some of the best staying power in gaming history.

Riding horses is so much less engaging than the vehicles in GTA, same with the gunplay, the outfits. GTAO is one of my favorite games of all time but RDO is just forgettable man

I kind of wanted to uninstall it from my PS4 for the longest but I know someday I'll get the itch to play it.

If they're gonna make you wait that long to install the game, at least make the first mission exciting enough to make you want to keep playing it.

Don't do that slow paced story bullshit.

GTA V at least had you shooting through the woods to start the game + the funny cutscene with Michael + the intro race with Franklin to keep you engaged.

Its a good game but it has 0 replay value and the part where you play as John sucked

invest in an external HDD, keep all your games on that. You only install once

I have plenty of externals, just not for my PS4.
Never cared to get one for it tbh.

Majority of games I get are the yearly sports titles I usually delete once the new one comes out.

This is exactly when I stopped and haven’t played since... I occasionally have my friends try and send invites but all they do is grind to get money and the f***ing missions or heist or whatever is painfully boring
