I’m a Bino stan and while the album is great the rollout and overall “haha yeah there’s literally no context for any of this music” is pretty corny in retrospect. Especially after dude has given incredible rollouts in the past. Numbers deserved even tho the actual music is fantastic imo

Because he didn't drop a single, name his tracks or album, didn't have a proper rollout, didn't have album artwork, and released it at 3AM on a Sunday instead of Friday!

He wanted to but his rollout got leaked so he scrapped the whole thing

there’s no world that releasing an album full of 7 minute songs with no cover, no album title or track title or video content works for you. he didn’t even post it.

the label ran instagram ads with no music, just a graphic that says “childish gambino” lol. idek what niggas expected. and this is supposedly his final album. idk if he’s planning a staggered release or what but boy was it a bad idea.

and i’m fully aware that he probably doesn’t care about numbers. but why sign to RCA for your final album and have them put money into this project only to yield 35k first week and even lower weekly afterwards. i can’t imagine how they feel in the RCA building about this release.
