The narrative that he put these people on is so lame. Drake only collabs with people who are currently popping. He was down with Migos in 2013 when they first blew then when they struggled for a few years he’s gone. Then he’s back after Culture gave them a second wind.

on one hand i could see arguments of them having no longevity being a thing because i feel like there’s very few artists who blow and everyone just knows “yeah they’re going to be around for a decade”, and i can understand someone having that concern in 2014 that migos would just be a flash in the pan

but a one hit wonder argument sounds crazy to me because i feel like they proved that wasn’t the case really quick lol, like they had hits across multiple tapes whether they actually hit the charts (versace, fight night, handsome and wealthy, hannah montana) or they were street hits (bando, chinatown, freak no more, cross the country, etc)

they was making that one flow work wonders for like three years

Kendrick didn’t have a major hit song for YEARS until he hopped on a Future song and dissed Drake. You could even say he “called Future when he didn’t see the club”

In the end drake will go down as one of the most influential musical talents period. No one will ever say that about Kendrick

No one was listening to Hiipower and Money trees saying that's what they wanted to be like but everyone wanted to make best i ever had and marvins room
