What's not sound is spending $200 on a music production gadget and cloud service in order to hear a single album — from an artist who has notoriously scrapped half a dozen albums and reworked released songs over the past decade — and somehow thinking that it doesn't include any risk on your part. And then crying about how you were """scammed""" because you rationalized the idiotic idea of spending $200 on a product you had no intention of actually using because it was the only way to hear a new album from an artist you care about.
Plenty of people decided not to spend that much on a device they had no use for just to hear the new album.
Paying full retail price for an unfinished game and downloading a day one patch that only fixes a fraction of the issues, with endless future patches to fix the rest, has been totally normal in the video game industry for about a decade. And you're whining about how you chose to pay what most people spend on two weeks worth of groceries, for a single album, because it's only available on a product that you won't even use otherwise.

the key here, and bear with me is that Kanye never mentioned the album wouldn’t be complete when he promoted it with the stem player.
the entire time he had people believing they were paying for a finished album like the final version of Donda.
hell I didn’t even buy the stem player and four months I thought people were listening to the greatest music of all time, but then I just downloaded it and :/

Nobody paid anything extra for donda 2. It's included free content in the base price of stem player. Nobody got scammed by unfinished donda 2 because nobody paid for donda 2. They paid for the "game console", aka stem player

Huh? IIRC you can run virtually any song in any format through the stem player. Not just the Donda albums and other kanye songs.
Just like you have your pick of dozens (if not hundreds) of games on a console. But unlike donda 2, you pay extra for games that often released unfinished, exclusive or otherwise.
