u rite tho op. an 80s song is so distinctly 80s more than any other decade. but for modern s*** it deoends on the producer. like a drumma boy or a lex luger beat u know where u r in time

No the 2010's had more personality because it had so much diversity. If you can go by one sound that isn't diversity and pretty bland

1996-2000 was way more diverse than 2010's. For the hip hop culture at least

I know the UK gets a lot of hate, but they ruled the 80s in terms of music

I know the UK gets a lot of hate, but they ruled the 80s in terms of music

    Madonna
    Prince
    Michael Jackson

Got enough clout, legacy, influence, and their strengh of their catalogue could take on the entire UK on their Thanos tip pause

90s easily had more personality. 80s was just bright and flamboyant

    More personality? No

More distinct pop sound than the 50s, 70s and 90s? Yes

Than the 60s? About the same

if you can summarize an entire decade into a single style, that sounds like a lack of personality to me

    Nailed it lol
