I remember during field day in elementary school, they'd try to convince us go join the "rainbow club" which was to make us try to collect all the ribbon colors instead of the ones of that mattered (blue, red & white).
I wasn't dumb, and bust my ass to get as many blue as I could. Ended up winning a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my rival too
"from my rival"
who are you, seto kaiba taking out yugi's grandpa?
no i always won.
no cause i always win
I remember playing sports when I was younger they'd give out participation trophies. Did they do this for you as well?
I also remember getting them other times also during elementary and middle school.
the biggest novelty was a green participation ribbon
but trophies
🤝
I got a participation medal at a 6-7 year old soccer league tournament once
dont think so tbh
anyway old ppl complain about things we literally had no control over (like participation awards) as if they weren’t the ones that put the system in place
"from my rival"

Nah it was this mexican kid who was fast too and we were talking s*** to each other about who would win the sprint event
I forgot what I put on the line, but that was what he bet against me
Yeah I have a few that I still have to this day. I know they’re generally frowned upon but it was a nice gift for a kid who wasn’t the best or most athletic on the team back then. Don’t really think it shifted my perception of winners and losers though I understood that trophy or not
i got a few, but most of the baseball and basketball teams i played on finished in 1st place in our citys league. my friends and i were pretty good growing up, and we always signed up together and played on the same team
im 22 and i only remember getting a participation trophy in baseball and my dad told me to get a real trophy lol, he programmed to me that it didnt mean s*** real young
No, I won. If I ever got a participant trophy I’d throw it away out of anger
real nigga s***
