highly reactive atoms or molecules naturally produced by our bodies. They can damage proteins, DNA, and fatty tissue

    They cause cancer

this sounds like an scientific explanation of the spiritual principle ''you are what you eat''

seeing that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is the best way to fight free radicals, I would say this is just the natural response of the body towards negative s***

so basically negative environment, either as a form of joke or not, directly and indirectly affects us as a whole

Well yeah because you burn while working out and need to get them back to restore the energy you lost and rebuild the tissue

You're not really eating excess intake of calories unless you're bulking

It’s not my friend. Of course eating healthier is better for you but the science behind calorie restriction and reducing free radicals is

drastically reducing food intake will reduce metabolic rate. If less food is being consumed, then there is less food that the body has to process. Moreover, since calorie restriction generally results in weight loss, less energy overall is needed to maintain the reduced body mass.

The production of free radicals is based on metabolic rate not necessarily the quality of food

    nah this crazy
we age because we breathe (we oxidize) not because we eat

    You’re right tbh

If you exercise more you need more food which would kinda make calorie restriction easier cos you can eat more cos you’re burning s*** off

Imma run out of information soon it’s getting too scientific lol I’ll see if I can keep up

There is an identical study with similar findings done for dogs. Dogs fed once a day seem to be healthier and more cognitively alert. newsweek.com/dog-feed-once-day-cognitive-health-1649704?amp=1

I don’t think I could be so militant with my dog unless I was practicing the same thing myself, but it’s an interesting find nonetheless.

    From the Harvard site

In 1935, a scientist named Clive McCay published a startling discovery: rats with severely restricted diets lived up to 33% longer than previously known possible. Over the last few decades, similar experiments have been carried out on countless species, from worms to rodents and even primates.

The specifics vary from study to study, but many show results just as surprising as those that McCay discovered so many years ago. The exact manner by which calories are reduced changes across studies, but the animals’ calorie intakes are generally reduced by as much as half their normal levels. Depending on the species, the most promising results have shown lifespan extensions between 50 and 300%.

What would he feed humans in such an experiment
