by witnessing I'm not talking about being alive, but actively listening to their music during that time

    nas (94-03) - no
    d'angelo (2000?) - no
travis (mid to late 2010s) - yes

  • Ken Lamar, 2016, a man on coke, a different beast. That was his peak tho. We are witnessing his prime, wokeuplookingforsomeBROCCOLI

When was Ye’s prime? I became a fan when I saw can’t tell me nothing video on BET back in middle school. So missed CR and LR releases but idk what his prime is considered.

  • Wayne prime was so amazing to see in real time 🥹🥹

    I always say 2007 to 2011

The music he made from Graduation 808s MBDTF WTT is honestly overwhelmingly amazing

    LIl Wayne

was there from 2008 (like most of em) to 2009 (when his peak ended)

Being a Wayne stan during this time where hit after hit was leaking everyday it seemed, the impact it made on me is nothing short of monumental

    Kanye West

2004 (was hard to escape him on radio) to 2013 (I guess Yeezus marks the end of his peak but Vultures is a classic)

Ye is really the main artist that i had in my generation, there was just so many great album. I'd get all his albums as soon as they dropped and they'd be the majority of what i'd listen to.

Peak Trav when he was still a somewhat interesting shaker upper during Rodeo era was pretty dope, the McDonalds-Fortnitification kinda bummed me out tho having been witnessed the real prime. Classic album but I wouldn’t say he’s one of my all times anymore.

Watching Em while he was still considered dangerous, an actual threat to families and s***, would’ve been so dope

just like crazy white guy from the midwest hanging with dr dre and aftermath saying obscene things but he’s an incredible writer and obscenely skilled wish i was there just so i didn’t take him for granted and see how i would react to hearing him for the first time and seeing him evolve

  • Jul 22, 2024
