Trying to separate the DV from the case is futile. He’s charged with S***trafficking / racketeering / prostitution.

It’s irrelevant to say then, that this isn’t a DV case.

The intimate partner violence IS what creates the environment that induces coercion aka s***trafficking. Him keeping her locked in a hotel after DV? That’s kidnapping. So while it technically isn’t a DV case, it absolutely is a main character in this. And once you prove s***trafficking, the racketeering / Rico is a layup. He’s already going to lose on the prostitution charges.

I do think that it’s quite possible for a woman to be a victim of DV, and still have agency over her sexual decision making, which is the defense’s argument. But no sane person is going to buy that IMO when you consider the age and power gap.
