Could anyone that liked this game describe to me what they enjoyed about it?
Never played it but it seems very unique and looks like something i’d love. Only fear is that I saw some people call it boring?

Well at its core it is a detective story, I'm a huge fan of those and really enjoyed slowly unravelling the mystery and seeing threads tie together unexpectedly.
The writing is superb. Very deep and lots of dark humour. Gradually found myself really caring for certain characters and surprised by the way some interactions went. The soundtrack and art is also really great. Conjures the mood perfectly.
It could be perceived as boring due to that it largely just involves skill checks and conversations. But the extent to which you can push these interactions is where the game shines and is pretty much unparalleled.
I hope that is somewhat helpful and not too vague. Its a hard game to explain honestly, not like anything else out there really. One minute it is thought-provoking, the next poignant, the next hilarious. But all of that is largely up to you and the decisions you make and paths you explore.

So it’s more story driven than gameplay driven?
Also how is the switch port?

Switch port doesn’t come out til later this year, for now it’s exclusive to PS4/PS5/PC.
And I suppose, but it depends on what you qualify as gameplay. It’s very much a choice driven experience and possibly one of the best realizations of a pen and paper game ever made.
Exploration is key, and there’s a strong emphasis on deduction since you do play as a detective. If you enjoy dense world building as well then this could really strike your fancy.
Imagine the looks you get walking around wearing this shirt
Grayscale version is also hot

I kind of dig the grey scale version, problem being the graphic is so busy that unless you get up close to it you have no idea what you’re looking at
The game does have some frame pacing and responsive issues, relatively minor I think.
But then again, my first play through of the game last year was literally on my Surface Pro laptop with everything cranked down and still it had some pretty significant frame dips
Loved this game will play the final cut for sure after I am burned out with binding of isaac
game is fire but has crashed two times on my ps5 so far
Yeah, PlayStation version seems janky as f*** so far, but I am liking the game itself.
I’ve had freezing and stutters, and more than a few times, I just won’t be able to make any choices during dialog and have to close the app. Plus, a few times the game will load up, but the whole screen will remain black except for interaction prompts that show up on the screen.

this one time i was talking to a character and the conversation ended and the character walked away. minutes later the same dialogue tree played and the game just stopped working. i been saving A LOT to avoid lost progress.

I started saving all of the time anyway after I died of a heart attack trying to get my tie off the ceiling fan within 3 mins of starting
The dialog kept glitching in the opening sequence, so I had to restart like 5 times, and the first time it actually works, I reach for a fan and keel over lmao, I was pissed...
PS version sounding like booty at the moment...
seems like all these types of RPGs end up getting ass console ports tbh
Planescape Torment on consoles had this glitch that was hella easy to encounter that would totally f*** your save without you realising at first
Pillars of Eternity 2 for memory was total booty on consoles
there was at least one other one (Divinity 2 maybe?)

Yeah... The PS version doesn’t seem worth even buying at this point.
I could look past the little things early on and was really getting interested in the game, but it’s just so janky that I’ve become completely turned off from even wanting to play.
