RAM is like objectively great but maybe just a lil too clean sounding? Too much perfection can make for a sterile listening experience

RAM has some of their best work (Touch is top 5) but it’s not overall their best work

It’s both a great and bad album to end a career on I totally get die hards for and against the album

It's trying to do a clean Steely Dan production thing without any of the bitterness that made that band so interesting or as much soul as the best funk and disco. It's a decent album but not as special as the great music it's inspired by.

Discovery had excellent songwriting and innovated within its space.
