Well you didn’t type something coherent so I had to fill in the blanks
“ Ram is picked by people who can't into house”
Yes picking ram over discovery is only done by people not into house or gen z/alpha who just got into daft punk. That's different from your misquote
I'm wondering which camp you're in if you aren't familiar with the "into" meme which canonically was used with house music on forums like 10-15 years ago

Ram is great but it's no masterpiece and didn't influence multiple decades of genres
Same s***
Not at all you made it look like I don't like ram. It's def a solid 8.5, prob top 100 of 2010s but far from top 5 of 2013
I was commenting on those that think it's better than discovery
RAM is over hated now by a certain kind of hyper online music nerd, because they’re aware of it being praised for too long by the same people who act like Currents is the greatest album of all time—and now feel reflexively compelled to s*** on it. Discovery is a more important record and I think is more consistent as a full piece, but I’ve probably listened to Instant Crush more than anything off that. It’s just a perfect piece of pop song writing. If RAM existed in a vacuum they’d be much more impressed by it. Nobody has organic opinions anymore.
The thing is, Discovery is like the most accessible f***ing house music there is. To act like it’s some sort of pleb filter is nonsense
Sure RAM is more electronic, funk, disco, and rock and really not house but people don’t love songs like Digital Love because of the house aspects
That's howsla by a long mile tho or any house artist on owsla like Valentino or ac. Or 80% of deadmau5
Discovery being accessible is a huge part of what makes it great, they discussed why they made it easy to listen to in the past. Plus actually manipulating samples
Ram is good but it's just some 80s nostalgia bait at the end of the day that is a good pop version of daft punk with maximalism in front. I got it on vinyl still
If you hate on RAM kys
Discovery all the way, love RAM too but i really wish there was more electronic sounds to it rather than disco.

My main take too. There's no aggressive and hard songs on ram. It needs an aerodynamic or even something fully experimental like hbfs
Was also disappointed we didn't get a full visual but I know that's wishful thinking

That’s Voyager for me. Drums go so hard in that song
really all depends on what u want
ram is by far a higher quality album but discovery was more groundbreaking. retrospective album vs innovative album

I don't understand how ram is higher quality as an album when there wasn't an entire movie made to follow it, plus has some real low points. Plus with the insane sample manipulation on discovery? Come on lol
Why can't people who prefer ram just say "yeah idk I just like ram more since it's so different"

contact felt amazing like they should've gone further into that. i remember hearing this great edit of it transitioning into the On Sight Beat.
