Forget just the song's content for a moment, will we ever truly find out who tipped Kendrick off about 'family matters'? 6:16 in LA will forever remain an unsolved mystery. If you want to understand the whole feud, you gotta listen to this diss.
It was Kendrick's final warning to Drake to watch his next move. Kendrick quickly talks to God asking for forgiveness and protection because he's about to do something horrible (MTG).
Every word in the song is incredibly important and it's like a missing puzzle piece.
The beat gives you the feeling that Kendrick is truly 'free' and, besides his immense confidence, also happy in a way. Especially when he says:
Tell me who gon' stop me? I come from love
Estelle cover my heart, then open me up
Remember when picked up a pen, lyrics that I can trust
Timid soul, stare in the mirror, askin' where I was from
I personally don't believe that intro sound is related to that journalist (not at all). But I do think that line about Kash Doll is connected to the jewelry someone allegedly stole from Drake in that hotel. Drake probably didn't even catch it, went right over his head, smh.
Conspiracies about Cash, dog? That's not even the leak
Find the jewels like Kash Doll, I just need you to think
Besides, we probably won't ever know who Kendrick was talking about when he said:"
A hundred niggas that you got on salary
And twenty of 'em want you as a casualty
And one of them is actually next to you
And two of them is practically tired of your lifestyle
Just don't got the audacity to tell you
I do agree that the first two lines of the song might actually be about Milly Bobby Brown and Drake and that party on the yacht. Another thing Drake probably didn't even catch smh.
Off-white Sunseeker at the marina
F*** a Phantom, I like to buy yachts when I get the fever
Loads of questions and not enough answers. 6:16 in LA might be a bit of a forgotten diss but it's incredibly important in the whole story.
Should’ve been on streaming. Would’ve did numbers
Yeah, not sure why it's not on Spotify.
Kendrick fans don't be cringe for a day challenge
Drake stans talking about cringe? Anyways just stick to the topic please...
some university is gonna announce a "history of rap beef" class soon
Probably closer than we think, they already have hip hop classes. I can see it as a module within one of them
Im not discussing s***
Love Kendrick and he clearly won this but s*** like this is what makes people hate Kendrick stans lol
Just say it’s a dope track and keep it pushing
Theyre hating on you @op but this is by far the most cryptic track out of the beef. It conveys a very unnerving feeling to me, maybe cuz i was listening to this while diving deep into the rabbit hole
in a good way, i’d argue this is still the most mysterious track of the beef, half of the lines here are really cryptic and idk what they’re getting at, and some of the elements of it i’m still figuring out
like if the opening sound isn’t a ventilator then wtf is it? that had to be intentional
