Forget just the song's content for a moment, will we ever truly find out who tipped Kendrick off about 'family matters'? 6:16 in LA will forever remain an unsolved mystery. If you want to understand the whole feud, you gotta listen to this diss.
It was Kendrick's final warning to Drake to watch his next move. Kendrick quickly talks to God asking for forgiveness and protection because he's about to do something horrible (MTG).
Every word in the song is incredibly important and it's like a missing puzzle piece.
The beat gives you the feeling that Kendrick is truly 'free' and, besides his immense confidence, also happy in a way. Especially when he says:
Tell me who gon' stop me? I come from love
Estelle cover my heart, then open me up
Remember when picked up a pen, lyrics that I can trust
Timid soul, stare in the mirror, askin' where I was from
I personally don't believe that intro sound is related to that journalist (not at all). But I do think that line about Kash Doll is connected to the jewelry someone allegedly stole from Drake in that hotel. Drake probably didn't even catch it, went right over his head, smh.
Conspiracies about Cash, dog? That's not even the leak
Find the jewels like Kash Doll, I just need you to think
Besides, we probably won't ever know who Kendrick was talking about when he said:"
A hundred niggas that you got on salary
And twenty of 'em want you as a casualty
And one of them is actually next to you
And two of them is practically tired of your lifestyle
Just don't got the audacity to tell you
I do agree that the first two lines of the song might actually be about Milly Bobby Brown and Drake and that party on the yacht. Another thing Drake probably didn't even catch smh.
Off-white Sunseeker at the marina
F*** a Phantom, I like to buy yachts when I get the fever
Loads of questions and not enough answers. 6:16 in LA might be a bit of a forgotten diss but it's incredibly important in the whole story.
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1ypnmTMNqAI don’t think Kendrick was specifically talking about certain OVO members, but moreso feeding into Drake’s paranoia. He’s been talking about not trusting anyone since 2016 so why not plant that seed lol
And who knows, maybe Kendrick does know about some snakes in his camp
in a good way, i’d argue this is still the most mysterious track of the beef, half of the lines here are really cryptic and idk what they’re getting at, and some of the elements of it i’m still figuring out
like if the opening sound isn’t a ventilator then wtf is it? that had to be intentional
Somebody said lipo machine
Also why the f*** are you morons complaining about op discussing a song?
KTT packed with weirdos who don't bother reading past the first line. It's crawling with trolls, and if you dare to drop a longer comment, you basically asking for trouble smh.
Should’ve been on streaming. Would’ve did numbers
I was surprised it wasn’t. A lot of people really like it
Yeah, not sure why it's not on Spotify.
Feels like Kendrick never intended to. The release basically mimicked Drake's moves. Both dropped their main diss track then a self-released track on their instagrams.
Al Green's socials acknowledged the sample after Kendrick dropped so i don't think they would have rejected it.
Kinda makes sense since it feels more like an interlude compared to the others but i hope its uploaded eventually. Every other track got uploaded to youtube wayy before official DSP release yet this only ever went straight to socials
yeah bro this thread is so cringe cant wait til we're back to discussing how drake is rich or something
Should’ve been on streaming. Would’ve did numbers
just recently local files uploaded it and man I agree 100%
Yall wasn't ready but that's okay
Think the whole video shows this song was more psychological warfare than an actual mole but idk
The cover being related to Ebony Prince is very strange lol
