“Is it Aubrey, K. Dot, is it me”
One of those folks said no to the song and it was released anyway under the guise it would be more than two of them. 😭
Cole was too p**** to check drake then?
where did Drake do wrong Cole on this song i dont understand it???
Read op again...
some brats just like to post for fun bro ignore dat shi
let this have been kendrick cole and future there wouldnt have been any hogging the mic or pulling a "big me" statue at the end like that. drake doesnt really GET what michael means to black culture so he doesnt see how tone deaf imitating him was like that and ironic he pulled the same stunt mere weeks later with the AI tupac voice like that nigga is so far frrom the culture he just dont get it
And the fact that he threw mj to the side during war as a weak retort was so disturbing, he has no soul for this black s***, he doesn't have that thing. The reverence we hold for Mike and pac and them is nonexistent to him, they are goals to him
I can see what you saying OP, I just think cole wouldn’t even care because we know now he doesn’t have an allegiance really
Cole was too p**** to check drake then?
I don’t know, man. Messy drama all around.
People should REALLY REALLY relisten to the third verse of First Person Shooter though now that we’ve reached a lull in the active “war” AND watch the video of The Hillbillies again. I think things make a lot more sense now that a lot of smoke has cleared.
Can't respect Cole, no matter how I try to approach and appease it, he loses in so many ways
Take a look at the final part of the MV and let me know if I'm trippin:
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xty2gi5cMa8If you watch the MV, you can see in the last verse when Culture Vulture's statue is unveiled, and he imitates Michael Jackson. Does it seem to anyone else that Cole was manipulated and used for his benefit?
Hats off to Kendrick for seeing a big red flag and saying nah fck you, I don't want to be part of this song and MV.
It's strange how Cole didn't notice it, I'm sure he's thinking differently now, especially the third verse where Cole isn't even present, and it's just Drake.
The FPS is actually a trap snake Drake wanted to catch Cole and Kendrick in. Kendrick saw through it all and said he's willing to put his career on the line to prove that culture vulture has never been and will never be the GOAT.
My observations are backed up by the fact that in the Kendrick versus Drake feud, culture vulture took aim at Cole twice, showing he never truly respected him. Kendrick even called this out in "Not Like Us" with the line, "Did Cole fouI, I don't know why you still pretendin".
I'm curious about what people, especially Cole fans, think about this situation. To me, it just reinforces Kendrick's point that blackface Drake is exploiting black artists for his own gain.
It's a relief that Kendrick finally exposed him for the fraud he is, a manipulative culture vulture who's been pulling shady moves since day one.
No wonder Drake's so disliked, with 90% of the industry against him.
How many more pieces of evidence do you need to understand Drake is just a fraud who deliberately exploits black culture and openly making fun of it?
Thanks to Kendrick to finally put the breaks on blackface Drake.
Edit UPDATE:
Question:
Can you actually tell me what happens. None of this explaining to me how he did Cole foul.
Answer:
The whole point of the song and MV was supposed to be that Kendrick, Cole, and Drake were all presented as the three GOATs of this generation.
The music video shows the opposite, though. At the end, you can see a 300 feet Drake statue being unveiled, while Cole is nowhere to be seen.
If it's about the three GOATs, then put up the same statue for Cole, who was also in your MV wtf.
The final scene is basically Drake saying: "ain't no big three I'm the greatest, no one can touch me."
Go back to Reddit nigga
Cole is a b**** nigga better keep all that I’m the best s*** on his album and go back to talkin about folding clothes
Last verse sounds crispier now tbh
Hell no, last verse is arguably the corniest verse in Drake's career, especially now that Kendrick put him to sleep.
And the fact that he threw mj to the side during war as a weak retort was so disturbing, he has no soul for this black s***, he doesn't have that thing. The reverence we hold for Mike and pac and them is nonexistent to him, they are goals to him
just like that the comparison is kinda off since he aint a musician but its like if cole or kendrick did a mockup photoshoot of the malcom x window with him in his place or starting a verse off with "I HAD A DREAM" you couldnt imagine that s*** cause they WOULD NEVER

as I go and peep and piece it, do u think hillbillies was some kind of diss and was buried alive it's cheeky retort

This has brewing for forever. Between the Baby Keem missing verse on What’s Next and Drake’s concert visits to Baby Keem’s earlier shows, “number 2 DMing my b****”, “we grew up around trifling hoes, you ain’t do nothing we don’t know” its been real real real messy.

I respect Cole, definitely not a b****. Drake's stans want to portray Cole as being p**** because he didn't go after Kendrick (that's exactly what Drake wanted).
Drake wanted Cole and Kendrick to kill each other off and then that last part of the music video in FPS where Drake unveils his statue would be real, making him the top dog.
Cole isn't a b****, not at all he just saw what Drake wanted to do and said nah I'm out.
Cole and Kendrick have much more in common than Culture vulture and Kendrick/Cole.
Cole absolutely did the right thing. The only thing I hold against Cole is that he agreed to this song and recorded the VM.

It worked because he's hoarded the mj comparison for years, no one really did accept that and it came to a head when he reached 13 #1s, people said he'll never be MJ but he continued to force it down our throats, bro just doesn't fit in!
“ I really hate that you been sellin' them some false dreams
Man, if your pub was up for sale, I buy the whole thing
Will they ever give me flowers? Well, of course not
They don't wanna have that talk, 'cause it's a sore spot
They know The Boy, the one they gotta boycott
I told Jimmy Jam I use a GRAMMY as a door stop”

Never been a big fan of Cole’s music and I strongly disagree with his position in the “big 3”. Releasing and unreleasing 7 minute drill will be a permanent stain on his career imo, even if he took the moral high ground he should’ve never stuck his nose in the beef to begin with. Respect to him being true to himself but he’s really gotta play the safe wholesome guy role from here on out. All the gun raps and tough guy s*** isn’t gonna fly on his next project

And? He approved it! Drake wanted to convey that Kendrick, Cole, and he are the three GOATs, while the MV depicts something entirely different.
You just slow...

This was 100% a Kendrick diss in hindsight
