That comment was conservative rhetoric to a tee. There's nothing wrong with companies making content that appeals to marginalized demographics. The intention of Disney executives may be to capitalize on trending topics, but thats business. I'm sure the writers and other cast and crew feel passionate about the topic and put their hearts into making something beautiful and inspiring.
To classify it all as "political correctness" "wokeness" "lib-bait" is to deny any means of giving those groups and their very real struggles a form of mainstream representation.
