These live action adaptations never gonna top the original with the exceptions of maybe Jungle Book and Pete’s Dragon? Idk I never saw either of them

But the problem is rarely with the real life actors and more with the cgi animals. Why for we need realistic fish in a movie about mermaids?

I heard one of the stand out song numbers from the original Under the Sea gets butchered here because we’re watching a crab that can’t emote perform. I hear they have him in the background singing not even the main focus while they distract us with fish swimming around

Haven't watched, Disney movies have been pretty trash lately. I'm taking a break from them. Heard good things about it though, and I already liked her songs with her sis who tried to go solo and ended up being Normani 2.0

Went again today and it held up I was worried I wouldn't like the new songs the second time but I actually liked them even more. Might see it a third time before Spiderverse takes it out with the quickness
