My favorite article of clothing ever is on its last legs after five+ years of intense wear (milsurp cargos, back is wearing out, noticeably thin with a cut or two)

These are just random pictures from the internet, but you could easily buy trim on Amazon and webbing and buckles and add additional straps to an already existing bag.

You can resole them pretty easily by just heating the soles up pulling the sole off and gluing another sole on.
Sewing the upper however is pretty challenging without a specialized sewing machine. Normal sewing machines are way too bulky on the bottom to really fix shoes. You could however probably repair it by hand tho

it looks like the dye is just diluted and they dont let the dye sit for very long
