It was my first time making a garment from scratch tbh. I was surprised at how much you could do with 2.5 yards of fabric.

The material in the kit was nice,but looking on the internet you could easily buy some extremely unique fabric and make something better for a quarter of the price with something like 1000D cordura

just came across this on etsy. Its an army issued jacket liner and someone sewed on the sleeves and collar from a hunting jacket. This is super simple to do and its pretty unique.

I just tried to do this by making a bleach paste and essentially painting it on but its hard asf to get the lines that sharp. I'll have to experiment a bit more.

Just cut the hood from a lightweight parka/rain jacket and hemmed all the sides to keep it from fraying. Zipper still functions to open the piece up at the top but does not fully separate as its sewed shut at the bottom.
