why do you think that's the intention of ppl arguing against tasers? yes theoretically they shock ppl, but in reality that's not guaranteed to be what happens when you shoot one. u can miss, the taser can not connect in the way it should to significantly affect the target, or the target could overpower it (an idle person being tased is different from a person with a large amount of adrenaline and tension being tased)

the argument against tasers is that they're less likely to be effective than a gun is in this situation. guns dont have most of those problems tasers do, the biggest issue for guns is whether or not he misses
