To put it bluntly, Dre is Quincy Jones while Quik is Rick James.
Quik is better as a beatmaker and musician but Dre is better at using his vision to assemble teams of beatmakers, engineers, musicians, etc. to craft top tier and impactful music.
Basically, Quik is a better producer in the hip hop sense while Dre is a better producer in the true classical sense.
