In my experience the popular clubs/bars in my city suffer from lack of originality
You can really go to any latin bar/club and hear the same s*** they will play at another latin bar/club. Same with rap. Same with pop etc
There really ain't mfs really spinning new and upcoming records they just playing same s*** everyone else is playing so where you go doesn't even matter
People also gotta realize in a post tik tok era world most consumers only fw certain songs because everyone else is or its trendy. They really ain't paying that close attention to what is playing
I live in the middle of a metropolitan city so it’s more like they/them p****, art hoes & queerbaiters around me but nah it’s not really like that unless u go out to the bush/outback which would be like going out to the desert or the forest or sum
It’s pretty cold most the time too lol . I love it tho melbourne especially is great for creative minded ppl & stuff the nature aspect is nice too
I just checked your weather it’s looking pretty lax n wavy. I wouldve never guessed I just thought oh yes Australia..hot. For no reason. Great to know I can chill on the bugs.
That’s pretty cool to know and that makes sense for melbourne based on something I know are in the surrounding area, and the fact that it’s in a major city.
Nobody doing dances themselves/groups tho its either you dancing with someone or youre chilling
House parties & kickbacks > Clubs
Heavy on the kick backs being superior.
Small group of people that all f*** with each other is undefeated.
Chicago ruined house parties for me tho
I hit one of my local gay bars with the homies a few weeks ago and the dance floor was goin crazy.
I know KTT loves to gloat about 2010's hip hop being better than 2000's hip hop but this is one measure where 2010's rap was objectively worse.
A lot of club songs from the 2010's either didn't have dance vibes or didn't age well. Drake and Future carried the 2010's in terms of club bangers.
Meanwhile, you can literally create 3 whole playlists of 2000's club bangers from a wide variety of artists that can get the floor popping in 2022.

Queer bars keep the dance floor hot because motherfuckers wanna show off lewks and moves, thats the way to go fr
House parties & kickbacks > Clubs
Boring can’t meet people can’t get outta pocket
I played “Back dat azz up” bc the girls weren’t dancing….n the stage manager IMMEDIATELY told me “yeah, cut this one short.” It showed me how much s*** changed
As a fellow DJ that also likes to go out myself, gotta say bro has a point. it's definitely been a wild shift even from like 10 years ago. The dance floor is not the priority for clubs as much as it used to be. Now you're looked at like you're crazy for being the 1st one out on the dance floor. More people rather stand around take pics for the gram and look cool than actually dance tbh.
In the comments someone said the energy always matches the popular d**** of an era and tbh, thinking about it that would explain a lot.
What do yall think? You think the emphasis on slow/trap music and bottle service has "killed" the dance culture in clubs?
@user (I'm actually curious what you think bout this tbh)
@Brave they’re catching up to our conversations!
