JihyoWomen in general do not understand mens fashion. We don’t dress for them lol
Have you seen the s*** b****es be saying “guys you should dress like this” about? Be some brooks brothers ad with a nutass henley shirt. As long as your clothes fit well and don’t look dirty it’s enough to satisfy most women.
Most men are even more clueless. Be walking around in wranglers with canvas shoes tryna roast anything high fashion. They think they killed the streets for matching the minor colors of their sneakers with the shirt and hat.
We dress for ourselves and for other men who understand fashion and appreciate and know what we put on. The compliments I’ve gotten from other men mean a lot more than the ones from women cus the men just know what’s up. B****es compliments are shallow and uninformed. A man gonna let you know that piece you have on is a grail and that you doing it justice. Love to see it.

Fashion is an art form like many other forms of media and outlets of creativity. You can go out in just a button down and slacks and desert boots everyday of your life (totally fine) but the ones invested in the art are clearly trying to get something further out of it
Yes you've got people who are clearly dressed by the internet and are trying to seek validation from people online but you can see this in literally every art form. Fashion is just the most blatant because clothing is ubiquitous. Those who use clothing as a form of self expression and to instill confidence in themselves is far more common than you think
