Shouldn't be used as excuse when s*** hits the fan though. It's outcome that impact others
That's like saying just because someone intended to rob a bank or murder someone else it doesn't matter because they were stopped before hand by a sting operation.
Intentions mean everything because actions don't happen without them, that's basic human logic
By order of importance:
1. Long-standing pattern of behavior
2. Intention
3. Isolated action
If someone gets killed in a car crash
Manslaughter vs Reckless Homicide
Completely different but the same end result. We separate them based on intent
Its mostly situational. But more often than not intention is relevant but it depends on severity of the outcome.
Intentions are important but they shouldn't be an excuse for your actions take responsibility
Without a doubt but sometimes the actions taken can overcome them.
It's a case by case basis like almost every situation. The world is gray, not black and white. You might think you're doing the right thing and end up ruining lives.
Even if you want to do good you can still be a horrible person.
I gave a homeless man a cheeseburger and cried. I felt like such a b**** I never helped them ever again
No I definitely felt nice. I'm just joking
I give to some people for sure depending on the situation.
There's alot of people that just straight panhandle where I'm from.
The first homeless guy I helped I bought 2 bags of chips, 2 bottles of water and various snacks. He looked at me and said thank you... can you get me a beer too?
I stopped giving for awhile.
Then I helped another one out and bought him a meal from McDonald's and the way he said thank you God bless it just idk. Had alot of emotion come over me out of nowhere.
Next one I was going to give money too had a sign saying she was dead broke and other things. Her kids were on the bench behind her with BRAND NEW phones texting and giggling. Like their phones were newer and more expensive than mine.
It's legit a case by case thing. I try to be a good person. I guess we could all be better. I think I'm just too occupied trying to keep my head above water right now
