condone means the opposite of what youre trying to say
Do you mean condemn?
explain to me
Both condone this actions
It's curious to see people being muslim and queer or christian and queer
Also why? I was lurking in here and there's this guy called @Faygo who's bi and muslim and lgbt+ but it's kind of a very special case I think, what about all the other ones
Thanks to the queer community for responding to this one
there are lots of lgbtq+ muslims. lots of lgbtq people dislike religion but i don't think people should bar people from religion due to sexuality. islam doesn't prohibit lgbtq itself and having those thoughts, its perfectly fine, it prohibits acting on it. and you can marry trans people in islam if they've gone through gender reassignment surgery.
I have a gay friend that does follow christianity - lightly.
Yes.
And depending on the type of christianity, gay isnt outright condemned.
Also, just because a religion may be against something, doesnt mean those in the "wrong" wont follow still lol. Lot of Christians are high offenders of multiple things.
Even the crusade murdered "in the name of God".

I know islam doesn't prohibit lgbtq, it actually prohibits those actions like s***or idk what else
explain to me
Condone means to allow
Condemn means to strongly disapprove
Most don't. The ones who willingly do it ignore or twist the anti lgbt stuff in the scriptures.//thread

yeah lol in general islam is a bit more okay towards lgbtq+ than other religions, don't listen to the people telling you islam says to stone gays. those hadiths that say so are not the most reliable.
let's keep it a bean, most straight people don't even agree on these religions, that's why there's so many sects and denominations. I can easily see how a LGBT person can believe their own version of them
I can only speak on Christianity, but It’s really not that special of a case if you’re actually secure and knowledgeable in your beliefs and know that no sin is greater than another. If youre LGBTQ+ and go to a good church with not terrible people you’ll know

really never knew about that

Yep a lot of the f***ed up things you hear about Muslim tradition are actually local traditions and have nothing to do with the Quran

Definitely the biggest issue. People blur the line between culture and religion too much.

how tf is stoning people a tradition

yeah like the Quran has never given an actual punishment for being gay and such, it just says it's haram.
Religion was made by people so of course people will bend the rules to fit their narrative. Anything that opposes their belief, a christian will have a vague bible verse to validate it.
Lot of "vague things" were made up, manipulated & tacked onto & even ripped out the bible after the original creation of the bible too for controlling validation & reasoning.
What is and isnt of the actual bible has been unknown for a very long time now.
But I don't think this is a very good question as title. Ofcourse they exist. You can see so many of them on social media so I don't really get it.
It's between them and god.
how tf is stoning people a tradition
Idk same way we were hanging and electrocuting people in the US up until like 35 or so years ago
Not 25 idk lmaoo

I mean yeah if you raped and killed 21 little girls you deserve it
Muslim transgenders that's kinda rare tho, from what I know Allah condemns modification in the human body
Not all transgender people modify their body. There are multiple hadith about Mukhannathun though.
I mean yeah if you raped and killed 21 little girls you deserve it
Yeah idk. Some cultures use stoning only for heinous crimes like serial killers and rapists too
There are some that are wild and will stone you just for the vibes though
As far as Christians go, I know a couple. I’m not surprised though, the Bible as we know it is pretty b******ized and mistranslated.
And apparently there’s a ton of s*** from the original texts that Europeans omitted so that they could spread their bigotry easier and justify slavery.
