Not sure about Islam but damn near every other Black church has a Gay man leading the choir. No cap.

  • May 23, 2021

If you’re LBGT and following Christianity then you aren’t following it correctly. No offense to anyone who states their both. But it’s simply impossible

Quran has never been messed with, the Bible has. Everything you hear in the Quran is 100% god. The Bible might have some random European's word in there.

Wrong. It’s translations. Take any Bible and compare it’s the same exact message just different languages and even slang too but the context remains the same. Nobody has messed with the Bible. If you want the missing 66 books their in libraries aswell and YouTube rabbit hole people have discussed them. The Europeans didn’t mess with the Bible. They took it out of context and forced their belief(paganism, whitewash, slavery) and not the Words.

yes the original bible was basically an occult book. Old testament is riddled with sacrificing animals, casting spells, etc. But now Christians consider the occult satanic. You don't see no Christians sacrificing goats these days.

Yea the Old Testament was telling you what people where doing and how wicked they had become. Reason why God came down the first time

  • not all religious people are super dogmatic about all the tenets

  • Yuzzy

This isn't true...all my Muslim friends say a gay Muslim cannot exist

they can exist even if they believe in something god prohibits.

  • May 23, 2021

As a Muslim Imma keep it real with y’all, if you gay and have s***with someone of the same gender that’s “haram” or forbidden.

  • May 23, 2021

This is said in Quran and Hadiths but a few of them on transgenders are dubious imo.

I think that's a big issue though. A lot of people read the bible in its translated version. Translations will never be able to fully replicate the original text.

That's why it's always recommended to read the Quran in Arabic and read an explanation / interpetation instead of just translations. I think that works better.

Honestly genuinely speaking and speaking with scholars who do that s*** for a living there is really zero difference. Doing my study and research there is certain words that had a different meaning in the time those scriptures was written and that’s all. If you’re confused you can always look at it in Hebrew text and see the Hebrew meaning of that particular word. The Hebrew Bible/original Bible isn’t much of a different to the King James or whatever else are out there. They all have the same exact message and goal and that’s to repent and accept our Father as the savior. All the sins and stories and scriptures according to each author of the Bible remains the same. That argument of different translations and Bible being reworded is fake woke people who never took the time to actually read it front to back

  • You have to understand that not everyone who belongs to a religion is a rule-worshipping dogmatist nor are religions just "Christian" or "Islam". It's never as simple as that. There's denominations with varying theology and rhetoric.

Within Christianity specifically, there are denominations that tend to be very affirming (a lot of methodist churches seem pretty chill), others that are extremely homophobic (like WBC, but a lot of 'mainstream' evangelical churches, more subtle about, too) and then orgs in between where the message gets really muddled (looking at you Catholic Church)

  • May 23, 2021

Muslims are not eager to kill homosexuals or adulterers the judge is encouraged to find any excuse necessary to get them out of it but if it’s undeniable and plain and caught by 4 people of reputable character and they don’t retract their statements then only the judge can give the right to kill them. Saudi Arabia known as the most strict state in the world when it comes to this has probably killed less than 40 people since the 1980s because of this.

Christianity wise, I as a Muslim believe it’s quite odd, Paul of Tarsus speaks quite negatively of homosexuals saying In I Corinthians 6:9, he condemns those who are "effeminate" and "abusers of themselves with mankind," as translated in the King James version.

But then the teachings of Christ are more lenient so idk.

I guess you could be correct. I'm basing it primarily on what I know about the Quran. If you look at the Quran with translations you will find that the dfiference in translations is crazy. Small differences which can add up and turn into a big difference. There are also other things I dislike about christianity and in particular catholicism, but I still like most of the things because both religions are not that different besides a few key differences.

So again I don't know enough about the bible

I find it hilarious that people post these galaxy brained "bUt thE BibLe hAs BEen traNSlaTed sO maNy tiEms" takes as if we didn't have language scholars and older documents like the dead sea scrolls that allow us to check the older translations as well as annotated bibles which detail the origins of certain sections. Like some will tell you which parts of Genesis are taken from the Septugiant/Yahwist/Priestly sources or explain why a specific English translation is used
