MJ having writers has been a BIG topic on his career when being compared to artists like Prince fym?

Point is.. did we, the consuming public at large EVER give a f*** or use that to discredit him? Did we do it to Aretha when Otis wrote Respect? Whitney or Celine (biggest ww album sellers for women) when others wrote their hits? Most artists that big don’t even write their most transcendent hit records. It’s only a stan culture thing tbh

Nah straight men don’t really listen to Beyoncé like that. I’d rather hear SZA, Solange, or Rosalia tbh.

This post has to be ironic

You don’t have to make beats to be a producer, but a beat maker is automatically a producer.

Being a part of the creative process and making decisions about how the song will sound and be arranged is what a producer does. Beyoncé has always been heavily involved with her songs and they’re not sounding like they do without her

Y’all heavily limit what music production actually is cus you only have hip hop beat maker examples to reference
