i honestly hate seeing anyone from HS for the most part. They're almost always not doing s*** or just becoming another basic ass that just works and drinks or some. npc type s*** if that makes sense

and they always bring up hs

This year would have been my ten year high school reunion, me and my girlfriend have a mutual friend from back then that we go on double dates with every now and then. Every time our conversations naturally revolves around reminiscing about high school, I can't help but notice that I'm the one out of the three that seems to remember and recall the most stuff, and it legitimately bothers me.

Like I've always been a very simple plain person and haven't really lived the most exciting and eventful life, but I know for damn sure that I am in a way better place than I was a whole decade ago. I know I'm not so down bad that I'm constantly looking back on "my better years" and overall feeling regretful or that I haven't accomplished much, not even close.

So I get a little irked whenever I realize that I tend to remember a little too much about high school, which doesn't happen often enough to where I or anyone else can say that I bring it up all the time, but it's enough for me to feel weird about it.

Enough to the point where I be telling myself that I need to learn how to have more varied and adult conversations, maybe I should get into politics?

What's really weird is that, according to my friend that I mentioned, apparently their is a group of people from our high school who, since graduating in 2011, plan get-togethers on a monthly basis and invite and hangout with teachers. That's something I never find myself doing.

Probably what gravitated me towards communities like this, I'm better able to talk to "liked minded" people about things that I know how to talk about, which sounds really sad to admit in retrospect.
