I mainly see people complaining about the Part 2s even though they are literally just bonus alternative versions that exist outside the main run of the album (OG version).

You'd think its fairly obvious that the album ends at No Child Left Behind, but this is a real problem people seem to have with the album. This is the main criticism of the album that doesn't make any sense to me.

Donda is a lot of unfinished great ideas and just throwing everything on the album

No trimming, no tightening up the songs, just everything as is and that ruins the album from the amazing potential that it had

If we got under 15 songs and those songs expanded upon, we could have easily gotten another classic

Instead, we got a bloated mess

Since Pablo I’ve been listening to unofficial version where the ideas are fleshed out, the verses are restored etc.

He just doesn’t tighten up anymore.

Donda would have benefited from an executive producer that wasn't kanye west.

As strange as this sounds, it’s almost hard to see it as an ‘album’ - more just a collection of everything worked on at the time

Every kanye stan (including me) has incurred brain damage from kanyes abuse to his fan base the last few years lmao

The pt2s are mostly completely unnecessary, the album ends with NCLB, although I’ll admit KMSA pt 2 is easily better- kanye sounds horrible singing that hook.

If you cut like 10 songs off of this it’s a really solid album with kanyes performances sometimes amazing and often jumbled up and unfinished

Donda feels like a complete data dump of ideas. It has some of his best music in years & Ye always struck me as someone who was very careful with his albums and how they’re laid out and consumed. I couldn’t ever imagine him being this messy a decade ago.

He litterally made a second album if that’s not enough for you . But i know what ur sayin about the deluxe . .. when all three are out we all gotta make one mega album from all

i wish they had alternate instrumentals instead of just tacked on verses. you could have easily just included all the part 2 parts on the original songs and the album woulda been shorter
