the Part 2's are really no different if they were called Remixes
Exactly LOL
Bonus tracks/remixes have existed on albums for forever
I mainly see people complaining about the Part 2s even though they are literally just bonus alternative versions that exist outside the main run of the album (OG version).
You'd think its fairly obvious that the album ends at No Child Left Behind, but this is a real problem people seem to have with the album. This is the main criticism of the album that doesn't make any sense to me.
deleted them from my library the day it dropped
Since Pablo I’ve been listening to unofficial version where the ideas are fleshed out, the verses are restored etc.
He just doesn’t tighten up anymore.
Kanye fans be like EXTENDED VERSION and it's just a different part of the sample used at the intro
Donda is a lot of unfinished great ideas and just throwing everything on the album
No trimming, no tightening up the songs, just everything as is and that ruins the album from the amazing potential that it had
If we got under 15 songs and those songs expanded upon, we could have easily gotten another classic
Instead, we got a bloated mess
Personally I wanted as many songs as possible, we didn’t have a full length project for 5 years until Donda

no just like how Elevators (ONP 86 Mix) doesnt take away from the ATLiens listening experience

seen so many people call that "the closer" over the years
the thing about the Pt 2 bonus track argument is that the deluxe throws this whole rhetoric out the window - personally I just listen to the standard edition and still see the Pt 2s as bonus tracks, but at the same time I can now understand the argument that things are less clear than that.
Like, I really wish I understood what happened with that Deluxe sequencing. It's just baffling stuff - is it just meant to be a playlist with the songs ordered in terms of popularity at the time? I don't really think so, as Moon is now deliberately placed after Hurricane, and some of the other choices seem more deliberate as well, or even just straight up weird.
It's just odd as all hell.

deluxe to me is him finishing the album but doing it as a deluxe rather than an update.
It's still messy. But deluxe is the best version to me because of Life of the Party and Up From the Ashes. Also the whole song dump vibe makes more sense as a deluxe
Donda is a great album because of the amount of good songs on it but it comes across like ye/team gave up completely on the idea of people listening to albums from start to finish anymore So just focused on making as many good songs as possible. A lot of artists probably feel this way now though even if we get the occasional Kendrick or Push type album. Even the Push album had some weird inclusions like Hear Me Clearly
